Locations

Moggun Cave Bat.png Cave Snake.png Moggun.png

Mogguns can be found in a cave to the northwest of Hurnscald. The Mogguns here are gathered in large groups. As soon as you hit one, all of the Mogguns will attack. This is very dangerous for warriors, but useful for archers.

You can reach the Moggun Cave from Hurnscald. Leave Hurnscald along the stone path to the west. You'll walk under a bridge, and pass a farm with many trees. At the end of the trees, the stone path will fork to the north. Take the north fork. Walk north along the stone path for a while, until the stone path splits into two paths: one to the east and one to the west. Take the west path, and follow it to a set of two caves. The Mogguns are inside the cave marked with the danger sign.

Isolated Mogguns can be found in the ice caves of Nivalis. This is ideal for warriors, but costs 500 GP to go to Nivalis using the ferry.

Outside the east gate of Hurnscald, you can use the ferry for 500 GP to go to Nivalis. From Nivalis, follow the stone path south into the Snow Field filled with Fluffies, Rudolph Slimes and Santa Slimes. Just east of the Snowman, there is a snow-covered rock that hides the entrance to the ice cave. The entrance to the ice cave is here:

Hint: If you touch the Soul Menhir in Hurnscald before you leave for Nivalis, and then allow yourself to be killed in the ice cave, you can return to Hurnscald for free. On the other hand, if you're planning to be killed more than once, you should touch the Soul Menhir in Nivalis instead.
