Terranite Ore is in theory a frequent drop by Terranites but since it is hard to kill them and they are the only source for the also called Terra Ores it takes quite a while to grind them.
Also you need a lot of Terranite Ores to complete The Terranite Armor, a Quest in which you create a Terranite Helmet, the Terranite Legs and a Terranite Chest Armor.
A new edition to this is The Beheader quest.
